Such a lovely evening. Thanks to everyone who joined us on Friday
📖 Thanks to everyone who came to my talk about #SmallEarthquakes at the Book Elephant last night, expertly chaired by the brilliant @karennedwards.bsky.social. Great questions and a enjoyably wide-ranging discussion about travel writing, South America and lost histories 🌎

Many people who are concerned about climate change feel “isolated and alone” because they have no idea they are part of 80-89% of people across the world who want their governments to take climate action.

This assault on universities is an attack on free speech & academic freedom. It's also going to result in the increased privatizing of university research funds. Here's just one example of how that can warp the information ecosystem, from @sarasneath.bsky.social drilled.media/news/bp-univ...

This was such an interesting piece to write, not least because I was able to speak to inspiring people leading the work to reduce climate/environmental impacts at European ski resorts. Yet, the bottom line remains the same - we must move away from fossil fuel use.

I haven’t said much publicly about the podcast I’ve done with @BBCSounds & the great @GeorgiaJCatt yet. But it’s a creepy story about how creepy technology is used to creep out a young woman, my former stepdaughter, Hannah. But that’s only the beginning
