I see a lot of people honoring Alex Pretti as they should but it also nettles me that we have to qualify how good of a person he is to justify outrage at his death. ICE executing anyone, be it a saint or a hardened criminal, openly in the streets deserves outrage. And grief. This is evil. Period.

The government funding package that passed the House is in huge trouble in the Senate. Kaine and Cortez Masto, who supported government funding deal in November, both will oppose the package with DHS funding included. Rosen + Kelly putting out statements tonight saying the same

As someone who has reported on deepfakes for years now, I’ve had a few moments while reporting on Grok where I feel sick to my stomach thinking about the continued escalation of sexual abuse with this technology and where it’s going. We’re not ready for this. And it didn’t have to be this way.
