Maybe the root cause was the delulu belief in American exceptionalism, that there was something about the *label* itself that made people special, but the reality was that America (used to?) provide the space and freedom for exceptional people to thrive.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but surprisingly soy sauce does indeed help with pain from a burn….also I won’t be using my right hand for awhile it seems 😢
