Russia will continue with this aggression until we finally decide to stop them. Clearly, nothing we have done in the last 10-15 years worked www.politico.eu/article/finl...

Not surprised at all to see it, but I'll point out the problems w the headline: 1) sticking "former Soviet republic" everywhere 35yrs later helps russia's rhetoric that these states somehow belong to it; 2) "issues" don't hurtle countries into war; russia invades countries against international law.
Georgia, a former Soviet republic, has been rocked by anti-government demonstrations over the same issues that hurtled Ukraine into war: its relationship with Europe and Russia.

These Russian agents are completely sick.

This is their mind-set, their understanding of the world.

Any cruelty is warranted.

You want them in your country?

So, when exactly do we arrive to the point where we finally decide to act against this state terrorism? Are we still waiting until even more people get killed by the Kremlin? Does anyone have a number of how many deaths are necessary to act?
December 11, 2024 at 3:46 PM
Instead, we see policy makers falling for the same trap as during the Cold War. Either people are scared to do anything against the Kremlin, "we can't escalate"; or they don't feel the need to do anything, "they just scored a loss here or there, the regime is collapsing anyway".
It's a sign of the wrong-headed fear of escalation that there has been so little response from the West to these attacks. Governments shouldn't panic, but they should ensure that there is a cost to Russia - including by increasing military support to Ukraine & relaxing restrictions on its use.
We are under attack.
Our governments must take this terror campaign seriously - and act to protect us from it.

- and we should urgently seek ways to get on the front foot against Russia
- they should be the ones worrying about being under attack, not us.

Faces of Ukrainians killed by #Russia.

A mother and daughter were killed in a Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia on December 6. That evening, on St. Nicholas Day, 36-year-old Iryna Syrovatko and her 14-year-old daughter Tanya drove to a yoga class.

It's been nearly three years, and chip maker companies still haven't found better sources of income than supplying Russia with tools to murder Ukrainians.

Governments must make this impossible because companies won't bother

The media could finally learn that all this Kremlin's talking about escalation is only a way to a) paralyse the West into inaction; b) identify the useful idiots that will help them spread the paralysis further.

It's 2024, this really should be Kremlin reporting 101
