like this is the most irresponsible level of hysteria i’ve ever seen. most of these people are either paid by the republican party, or are high level advisors and allies. this is insane

A large part of me is grateful that I never ‘made it’ on social media, like as an influencer or anything similar. It was very easy for me to delete all Meta apps and TikTok.

If there was any sort of financial component involved, that decision would probably be extremely difficult.

Someone needs to submit a formal (criminal) lawsuit against the PA Commonwealth regarding voter suppression. The way that addresses and mail-in ballots were manipulated in university towns was unconstitutional.
January 22, 2025 at 4:57 PM
They didn’t win the popular vote, they just got better at voter suppression. I’m not talking about checking IDs or this or that, I’m talking about the long lines, the mail-in ballot fiasco & surrender process, the confusing court ballot decisions, lack of language or disability services, etc.
January 22, 2025 at 4:54 PM
Many people don’t show up to the polls because of long lines. Work usually allows you to leave for a lunch break or go before or after, but a lot of the time, these lines end up being 2-6 hours long. & it’s these long lines that force many to have to leave and forfeit their voice.

So let’s talk about voter suppression. Some folks in PA were sent ballots in mail before, on, or after voting day without signing up. & some “received” this mail to addresses that were not their current residence.

To be able to vote in-person, you had to surrender your mail-in ballot & vote. (1/2)

I don't really use TikTok that much, but I find it fascinating that our government is on the verge of banning an app for national security reasons that are still unclear in the same week that Meta, the largest social media company, says it's now fine to hate LGBTQ people and call us mentally ill.

I know I keep screaming this into the void but just because climate change isn’t the *only* factor contributing to an extreme event doesn’t mean it’s not *a* factor. Literally nothing on Earth is unaffected by the changing climate.
