Discovering computer as an adult makes you go crazy. Discovering computer as a baby makes you go crazy. In all of human history, there will only ever be one generation to discover computer at the correct age: 13
The problem with every post-Millennial generation is they got to go straight to high speed internet. Of course you'll get computer madness that way. Make them start with those old screeching modems and work their way up

Either legislators are purposely trying to worsen quality of life for Americans or they don't realize how much damage it will cause to defund the CPB. And that's the point. You don't destroy something that Americans have spent decades & billions building w/o VERY GOOD REASON. There is no reason.

I've lived in Minnesota (with a stint in Alaska) for the vast majority of my life and I've never seen this before, a freezing fog covered everything in ice needles...

There are two ways pretty much everyone determines listener/viewer numbers for broadcast - literally hiring people to write down what they watch/listen to in a diary, and newer subaudible tone readers that almost singlehandedly killed jazz on the radio because they picked it up poorly
What is common knowledge in your field but shocks outsiders?

We don't all have the same number of bones or muscles. There's an average, I guess. We all kind of cluster around it. Some muscles are pretty rare. Some people just invent their own artisanal bones.
Court ordered therapy almost never works and usually makes the problem worse.

Can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them stop harming their kid/spouse, the kid/spouse won’t rebuild the lost affection, and mostly abusers just learn to be more efficient and cruel abusers.

It's probably good they didn't do another season of Monk where he was a cop again, would have been bad timing

This cannot be emphasized enough: in healthy democracies, this is absolutely normal. It is in “banana republics” that criminals go into politics to stay out of jail.
