My main goal this year is to fall in love with making art again. It's so, so difficult to stay motivated with a mentally demanding job and the general state of the world but it's so important to me to continue creating despite everything.

A male rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) in winter plumage.
Ptarmigan is from Gaelic 'tarmachan' meaning "croaker". The p- was added when people mistakenly assumed it was a Greek word.
