I genuinely love my in-laws. They are some of the best people and I would gladly hang out with them without my spouse.

But my mil is entering end-of-life care in the hospital and we said what might have been our goodbyes last night. And it is so hard.

I know I am late to the game, but oh boy, school board meetings be wild! After tonight, I feel compelled to attend/watch every meeting and then email the entire board after they adjourn!

But I am so thankful for community organizing groups that encourage involvement in local government.

When you get to the airport with @meepleslibrarian.bsky.social and she discovers that her flight has been changed and now she’s on your flight.

I know we all think “I’m really loud anyways, so I don’t need a mic” (especially if we work in schools) and you might be loud, but using a mic is a must for accessibility. So, do us all a favor, use the mic and stop saying “I’m a loud person” as a way to opt out of using the mic.

I am so glad that someone jotted down this beautiful quote. New goal for the library: do the daily work to create space and opportunities for anyone who enters to spread their wings.
