It is disappointing, but not unsurprising (and not inaccurate given audience metrics, I’m sure) that basically all baby books seem to be written directly to women. The bar for partner support appears to generally be on the floor…

I think this is the definitive text for “how to actually make MiUSA work” - I desperately want to (re)start a high-end shoe company but I’ve never been able to make the cost and story go hand-in-hand. This kind of policy approach would help me close that gap and make American shoes
I support the US garment industry. I don't believe in making life harder for immigrants or erecting blanket tariffs. So how can we reshore some of our US garment manufacturing without xenophobia or protectionism? Here's my view. 🧵

I’ve done pricing in some form of fashion for my whole career.

No such thing as “a piece of this connected market gets 25% more expensive”

No one wants to be priced under the market either - this just raises the floor.

The @acquiredfm.bsky.social on Rolex is very good and I highly recommend it. But to spend 90 minutes on Hans Wildorf’s marketing acumen and not talk about creating the first true down-label brand is an interesting choice

Finally got around to reading this, and it’s excellent. And I’d say it’s exactly what’s generally driven me to write Mixing Ingredients the way I do, which feels vindicating punchdrink.com/articles/coc...
Why Is My Drink So Damn Weird?
When every cocktail is an experiment in novelty, ordering feels like a gamble. But if history teaches us anything, it’s that this era won’t last forever.

I've said this before but it's baffling and staggering to me that as a society we just accept the fact that Amazon sells millions (billions?) of dollars of stolen goods every year and somehow just throws up their hands like "we can't take responsbility for it" and we say ok bsky.app/profile/step...
Which is where the fences sell the goods that were shoplifted from Walgreens.

You want to stop mass retail theft you go after the money which means investigating the drop shippers fencing the merch.

But that's boring and requires doing actual work.

This is just true. It’s crazy that people argue about it.

I’ll add, though, that a key reason is lack of skilled building labor. And that’s likely about to get wayyyyy worse…
The take I am most certain of that gets me in the most trouble is just "The reason homes are so expensive is because there are not enough of them, so we really really really need to build more of them."

The “working” in this program is the problem - we have players that could do this elsewhere and our system has wrecked them. We make dudes shoot worse somehow.

Gotta go!
