The resistance in Minnesota cannot happen in Boston unless our civil resistance groups actually reach out to and rely on historic groups and organizations lead by people of color. I spoke to a number of protest leadership about this when I was able to participate and they were 'new to the idea'.

I see a lot of discussion about Echo Chambers today. However, I think people misunderstand a key component. Propganda isn't about enforcing insular beliefs. It CAN create an echo chamber, but for a long time especially in WW2 propganada was used offensively to change hearts and minds in echo chamber

I can't recommend A Memory Called Empire enough. If you want a very sci-fi political thriller it's one of the best I've ever read. The good character writing and the fantastic elements of the world build lend themselves well to exploring the deeper issues the story wants the reader to delve into.

For awhile I was in the 'my whole personality is x franchise/game is cringe' camp, but ever since the soul sucking digital drugs of today (including bsky) I've come to the conclusion that I'm somewhat wrong. They DO give you something of an identity when you try to have an opinion.
