I’m playing a little bit of “Casual Breakthrough” mode on Battlefield 6 at the moment, which apparently is being derided as “Dad mode” and you know what? I don’t give a shit, it’s lots of fun.

I am so done with the prevailing revisionist history of the Star Wars movies - the one that says the prequels were great, and the sequel trilogy was awful, and George Lucas’ ideas for the sequels would have been awesome. The prequels had SOME individual great scenes but overall they sucked.

Just randomly thought that if Disneyland Paris had a Star Wars themed area like Galaxy’s Edge then it could be themed around Ghorman from Andor. Then I realised that would be really fucking grim…

Saw Tron: Ares. Not the worst Jared Leto film I’ve seen, but I had a nagging feeling throughout that a script polish would have made it really good. Also there was one bit where playing End Of Line from Tron Legacy would have been a great touch.

Ok so the good news is that Instagram is showing me slightly less pornographic content. The bad news is that it’s given way to videos of people being murdered and animals being killed. This has to be an algorithm glitch like in Feb 25. Has to be. I fucking hate it.

Anyone know how the Instagram algorithm works? Does it suggest reels based on what your followers like? If so I need to get some less horny followers. All porn this morning, and it’s definitely not based on anything I’m searching for, before you jump to that conclusion!

I don’t know why but I always thought “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” was an old folk song about something that happened a century or more ago. Turns out the ship sank within my lifetime, and the song came out a year after the sinking. Very odd.

Right. Having an elderly relative in hospital is not an uncommon occurrence when you have as many elderly relatives as I do, but for the first time we’ve managed to have TEO in simultaneously. Fun times.

First coffee I’ve brewed in a couple of months on my home machine, and any self respecting coffee snob would have fainted at my casual disregard for doses and extraction times but you know what? It was pretty bloody good.

I’m thoroughly disappointed in the BBC News service partaking in the beatification of Charlie Kirk. I know “don’t speak ill of the dead” is particularly British, but “his comments on gender, race and politics often drew fierce liberal criticism” is as mealy mouthed as it gets.
