It was great to have Labour MP @justinmadders.bsky.social join our panel at our recent House of Commons event “Preventing Disinformation and Misinformation in Campaigning.”

He made some key points about the opportunity we have with the Elections Bill to modernise the rules for our democracy.

🏡 It’s time to end fleecehold for good

In Parliament, I made clear this broken system, known as "fleecehold", must stop.

I told @LBC that while the Caerphilly result was disappointing, Reform being pushed into second place shows voters are rejecting the politics of division.

People want fairness, progress and delivery — and that’s where Labour🌹 must lead.

We’ve done some good things in our first year in office, but we must do better to re-connect with the communities we serve and give a much clearer sense of our purpose and values.

That’s how we succeed. That’s how we will re-unite the country.

Very informative discussion with Gordon Brown and the leading child poverty charities yesterday about the urgent need to lift the 2-child benefit cap.

Great to have @metromayorsteve.bsky.social's support at my Lucy Listen’s event in Liverpool today.
