There was no skateboarding this week due to winter. Last night I watched Jimmy Lannon’s part in Volunteers, the 2015 video made by Mikey Bueso, if that counts for anything. I saw 10-12 robins fly by my apartment this morning when I went out to warm up the car. Spring is right around the corner.

I skateboarded in the driveway on Sunday afternoon for 45-50 minutes. It was sunny, but only 22˚ F. Actually wasn't bad. I landed some noseslides, frontside 50-50s, tailslides, boardslides, and jump ramp ollies. It felt good to roll. I saw three crows, a hairy woodpecker, a chickadee, and juncos.

Skateboarding was cancelled all week due to rain and/or snow. There was a day or two where it was warmer and dry, but rained by the time I was done with work. The weekend forecast doesn’t look promising for going to an indoor park either. I’ve seen a couple cardinals, mourning doves, and juncos.

I skateboarded in the driveway after lunch. I got warmed up, did a few noseslides, and a ride-on grind before the rain hit. If I had a regular ham sandwich for lunch instead of a grilled ham & cheese, I probably would've had an extra 20 minutes more to roll. Oops. I think I saw a robin fly by.

I went skateboarding 246 times in 2025. There was more weather this year. I also took some days off because I’ve been in some type of slump since June. It's been a grind and made rolling not fun. I'm trying, but I'm getting old. Things have been better lately so I hope that continues for the future.

I did see some cool birds in 2025, including a brown creeper and a flock of snow buntings. I like the common birds around here, such as catbirds, red-wing blackbirds, bluebirds, and the assorted woodpeckers. I don’t go out looking for birds, it's just whatever I happen to see when I’m skateboarding.

I did some driveway skateboarding after work on Wednesday. There were damp spots from the melting snow that I had to deal with, but it wasn’t terrible. I landed some boardslides, noseslides, and tailslides before running out of daylight. A cardinal might have zipped by the yard.

I haven't been skateboarding because of snow for the last two weeks. Weather is sloppy enough to keep from hitting up an indoor park, too. The two I like are in snow zones so I won't drive to either if it is bad. Due to the early sunsets, I haven't seen much in the way of birds lately. Fun times.

I haven't been skateboarding because of snow for the last two weeks. Weather is sloppy enough to keep from hitting up an indoor park, too. The two I like are in snow zones so I won't drive to either if it is bad. Due to the early sunsets, I haven't seen much in the way of birds lately. Fun times.

I did some ollies in the driveway on Wednesday while mulling over moving the car to skate one of my ledges. It was dry and mild, but dark. I wish I’d hustled when I left the office because I probably could’ve fit in 10 minutes of skateboarding. There was a junco on my front steps in the morning.

I cut out of work early on Monday to pick up my car at the garage. I was able to skateboard in the driveway for 15 minutes before sunset. It was cold, but I did a couple noseslides, tailslides, and jump ramp ollies. I maybe startled a cardinal when I checked on the birdfeeder in the front yard.

Saturday was calm, grey, and dry. I skateboarded in the driveway. I did some frontside 50-50s, noseslides, boardslides, tailslides, ride-on grinds, and jump ramp ollies. It was good. It was 35˚ F so my board got cold after 90 minutes. I saw a sharp-shinned hawk in a tree and eight robins flew by.

I skateboarded at the park on Monday after work. The lake was a flat calm and it wasn't cold. I was out of gas and didn't have much so I cruised around for 35 minutes. I did some frontside sliders, fakie ollies, tailslides, maybe a noseslide, and a 43. I heard a Canadian goose in the distance.
