Finally watching Frankenstein and how the hell did this cinematography get nominated for an Oscar. The camera constantly moving and panning is very distracting. I think its part of why Oscar Issacs performance doesn’t register. #oscars

Trying to dissacoiate by watching Moulin Rouge. Which mostly worked until you realize its ultimate message is not about love - its that to make art you need to literally whore yourself out to the oligarchy. hits differently in the year 2026.

Doing a watch of Wes Anderson movies. I had never seen Darjeeling or Life Aquatic and really dug them. Both start with somewhat unlikable leads and evolve into at times tender meditations on grief.

Started with Tenenbaums and been fascinating to watch his evolution.
