Happy 30 years today to my childhood favorite movie, Balto! A couple days ago I had the privilege of group-watching the whole movie with director Simon Wells & some of my oldest internet pals. He provided commentary throughout, and answered questions after. (I got that OST cassette for Xmas in 1996)

So glad someone clued me in to the aurora tonight!! Could see hazy pinks & purples with the naked eye, but using my camera's long exposure really brought out the details. Spectacular!

It's very kind that folks still want art from me, even after I retired from the freelance scene years ago...but there are so, so many artists not making ends-meet out there. Please support them.

…But that is really hard to do when you scrape the bottom of the barrel yourself. Can't pass on happiness if you barely have enough to carry yourself through the day.

My mind is quite literally blown by the first image alone. I always assumed the inks & color were done on the same piece of paper! THAT'S how he achieved such sharp lines & bold colors. It makes perfect sense, but WOW.
