A failure of memory: Hepburn and Tracy ("Keeper of the Flame," 1942) This is a prescient treatment of fascism and the idea that the public will happily embrace authoritarianism if it's delivered by someone they admire. That this feels relevant in 2026 is not a coincidence!

This is sickening. Let me come right out and say it, if MAGA Republicans are ok with kids getting shot in school (and they are or they’d do something about it) why would they care if their beloved ICE agents shoot their mothers.
Posts may be a bit more sporadic from me today as my kids are home from school because my city is being brutalized by the federal government to the extent that it's unsafe for schools to be open
