Artist, Pomsky mum, long term sick, music lover, campervan owner and loving wife to the most Amazing Hubby.
First three days of chemo.
Day 1 exhausted and migraine. So slept all afternoon and evening.
Day 2 tidied bedroom so that I would be able to cope in a stress free environment while recovering.
Day 3 felt nauseous most of the day and wobbly so only took the dogs for a walk and watched strictly.

I’m thinking about my own longevity. Since I have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer of some kind. Not sure what yet. It’s a waiting for results time. I admire my lovely long hair because it’s not to be taken for granted. Life is precious so give it all you have.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I have not been well and still not well. Not producing cortisol is a big problem when life is upended DWP taking all my money taken off me and my appeal. They want lots of evidence to prove I’m really sick. Im meeting the GP & specialists and letters to prove I’m ill.

With PIP / Universal Credit/ Work Capacity Benefits and ESA benefits being cut. It’s looking like more benefits are being cut. The the criteria being tightened up. More deaths due to loss of income. Here is an article from 2022 about the many deaths. www.disabilityrightsuk.org/news/claiman...

He does not care about the climate change or environmental disaster escalating due to the damage we are doing to the earth.
Just heard that Trump is putting an end to atmospheric monitoring site NY67 that is run out of my lab. This is one of the oldest NADP sites in the US, continually measuring acid rain and other pollutants since 1977. Closing it down is tragic.

Ravens are my favourite birds. I love how the Forever Lost at Sea Series author @sarahhutchins.blsky.social posts about the extensive research she is doing into Myths, and legends. It’s a happy place for me. Since my first book I read, based on myths & legends, was Robert Holdstock’s Mythago Wood.

Please share far and wide. Jenny Croft is trying to get her daughter home after she was detained in an immigration crackdown. She was taking a backpacking holiday but it went wrong when she was in her way to Canada. And then arrested in America for the wrong visa. Please help if you can in the USA.
Our daughter Becky, a 28-year-old British tourist, has been caught up in the recent immigration crackdown in the US. What was meant to be a life-changing four-month backpacking trip across North America has turned into a nightmare.

Mi love stories like this about bringing families together through a game or by art or following in the footsteps of a dearly departed family member.
Dungeons & Dragons and other #RPG systems, or rather, the act of playing them with friends and family, transformed my life in so many profound ways. That it can bring closure (or togetherness) in grief... there's something truly beautiful about that.

I’ve never played D&D but this article on grief and escapism really resonates way beyond that www.theguardian.com/wellness/ng-...

If you play D&D and write please do chat with Sarah about it. She’s local to Lancaster, part of my Art Hub, a good friend and has MS. Life is hard when you suffer from MS. She tries to do a little writing each day and is working on her second book. Please do follow her and her adventures.
Playing D&D is a way to escape into a world away from real life and also a way I can practice my writing and world building skills which have come in useful when working on Forever Lost at Sea
As well as writing, Sarah is an dedicated D&D player. This is Liliasica her current character, a ranger with her raven Tempest. World building within D&D is a brilliant to gain experience as is designing and playing characters. I wonder how many other writers are players? #booksky #D&D #authors

Give a warm welcome to mythical / fantasy writer @sarahhutchins.bsky.social I convinced her to set up an authors profile here as well as the book page. Xx
Introductions are hard! I find writing about imaginary people much easier!! I was lucky to meet Anghus Houvouras when I was working as a ghost writer, and from there a partnership grew. The Forever Lost at Sea series has gown into a massive project and we are thrilled to bring our world to you!
