One of today's stories I am reading around as part of a look at the folklore of the British Isles
Reading up on folklore from the British Isles. If you are out and about on the dark lanes of Wales, you may come across the Gwyllgi who can paralyse a person with just a look! A meeting with the Black Dog of Destiny never ends well #mythology #folklore #wales #writerscommunity #booksky

I love history and imaging the stories hidden in the bricks of old buildings
Inspiration can appear in any place you are. The beautiful Lancaster Priory is full of history, dating back to the Romans and somewhere I have the privilege to work out of. #history #inspiration #stillness #calm

Back working and researching! Doing a deep dive into Celtic mythology and folklore. I have always enjoyed Celtic stories, possibly because I heard them growing up. There were a couple that I realised when I was no longer a child my great-grandmother made up, but she fuelled my love of story telling!
The Morrigan Song of Triumph to the Mother Goddess -
Peace mounts to the heavens,
the divine waters descend to earth
and fructifies our lives.
Earth lies under the heavens
We are off the Earth now
And everyone is strong .... (source in comments)

My reading materials today are Early Irish Myths and Sagas - J Gantz and The Mammoth Book of Celtic Myths and Legends - P. B. Ellis. Researching Celtic stories for the website is one of my favourite author duties! #booksky #author #books #writerscommunity

Currently researching the stories and folklore of the Celtic world and discovering a labyrinth of poetry, stories, and tales of gods, goddesses, and creatures. #mythology #writerscommunity

Does anyone else feel like writing is not a 'real job' at times? Sometimes I feel like I am just pretending to have a job and very rarely describe myself as an author or writer #writingcommunity #writers #authors

I had a go at self publishing for a short children's story to see how it went compared to my book with an indie publisher. This is a story based on a horse I owned for many years, Minstrel. Available from Amazon at the moment but will be through my website as well in time #booksky #writercommunity
