The Bulls are in free fall after a three-game losing streak.

Is their good fortune running out? Do they simply lack star power? Or is something else knocking the Bulls off track after their 5-0 start?
Chicago Bulls have lost 3 straight. Is their good fortune leveling out? Or do they simply lack star power?
The Chicago Bulls stand by the belief that their game plan offers a strong opportunity to win. But for the last three games, they’ve struggled to carry out that scheme.

The Bulls scored only 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Wembanyama scored 18.

Pretty brutal final blow for the Bulls, who have now suffered a fourth-quarter collapse at the hands of a Star™️ — Giannis, Donovan Mitchell, Wemby — for the third loss in a row.

Really solid third quarter from the Bulls, who outscored the Spurs 34-26 in the frame.

Swarmed and pestered on defense, knocked down a nice smattering of threes + got to the free throw line. Now they have to hold onto this 9-point lead.

The Bulls have now drawn two charges on Victor Wembanyama tonight.

One from Tre Jones, one from Jalen Smith.

Tre Jones just drew a charge off Victor Wembanyama.

Coby White is jumping around and fist pumping on the sideline.

Windy City has a game in Oshkosh tomorrow against the Wisconsin Herd.
Noa Essengue and Coby White have been assigned to Windy City, per Bulls PR.

Good sign for Coby on his road to recovery. The Bulls have been targeting next week’s road trip as a potential return window for him.

How do you solve a problem like Victor Wembanyama?

The Bulls have an interesting template to follow in tonight’s game against the Spurs as teams across the NBA attempt to scheme against the young star:
Can the Chicago Bulls stop Victor Wembanyama? Trend of swarming the center is slowing the San Antonio Spurs.
Despite a 13-inch height disadvantage, Chicago Bulls’ Isaac Okoro might be the key to slowing San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama.

Really awkward ankle roll for Josh Giddey. He sprained that same ankle landing on a foot back in March. Went straight to the locker room to undergo medical evaluation.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the ultimate test for any NBA team attempting to test its mettle.

The Bulls knew the rubric, but still failed the exam in the fourth quarter last night.

What they learned from the loss:
3 takeaways from Chicago Bulls’ loss to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee Bucks: ‘To guard him, it takes a team’
The Chicago Bulls had no answer for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who had 41 points and 15 rebounds in leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a 126-110 win Friday in an NBA Cup game.

Bulls drop to 1-1 in NBA Cup play with tonight’s 126-110 loss to the Bucks.

Particularly damaged their point differential, which is now -6.

Kevin Huerter gives the Bulls an edge they really lacked in the past. Nothing too flashy, just a guy who will get in there and punch back when the Bulls are getting worn down by a team with more firepower.

Incredibly efficient first half from Josh Giddey.

14 points, 7 assists, zero turnovers.

6-for-9 from the floor, 2-for-3 from 3-point range.

That being said, Isaac just picked up his third foul only 20 seconds into the second quarter. Not ideal.
The Bulls are playing some really solid individual defense in this first quarter. Both Isaac Okoro and Patrick Williams putting nice work in on Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Matas Buzelis in the groove to start here in Milwaukee. Making sharp cuts, forcing contact with his first dribble. His defensive activity has been solid both off the ball and taking guys on straight up.

Sure, the Bulls are in a groove.

But Coby White brushed off any concerns about his impending reintegration to the roster disrupting the current style of play.

“I’m not a ball stopper, I don’t hold the ball, I just play to win.”

@juliapoe.bsky.social's story.
As Coby White works toward a return, he believes he’ll fit ‘perfectly’ with surprising Chicago Bulls’ style
Coby White is close to being cleared to play for the Chicago Bulls. He’s unconcerned about his fit into the team’s new system.

Coby White believes he’ll be a “perfect” fit for the new-look Chicago Bulls, who have surprised the NBA in the opening weeks of the season.

But first, the star guard has to get healthy.

Thought this was interesting from Billy Donovan — one of his regrets from last season was overcomplicating the defense. Felt that he switched into “gimmicky” looks too often to compensate for the lack of physicality rather than meeting the problem head-on.

The Bulls are 6-1.

But is this team — and, most importantly, its defense — for real?

What to believe in after an incredible opening two weeks of the NBA season:
Column: Can the Chicago Bulls sustain this hot start? An aggressive, hustling defense suggests they can.
The Chicago Bulls are atop the Eastern Conference standings and 11th in the NBA in defensive rating. Is it all just luck, or are they on track for a statement season?

The Bulls are 4-for-4 in clutch games to start this year. They went 17-17 in similar scenarios last season.

Small sample size, but shooting 50% from the floor and 44.4% from 3-point range while forcing three trips to the line is a decent way to close games out.

Noa Essengue has been called back up from Windy City, per Bulls PR.

Billy Donovan originally said the rookie would stay down with the G-League team for an extended time. Curious to see what (if anything) changed in the team's plans for the rookie.

Josh Giddey is quick to shrug off praise.

But matching a Michael Jordan stat? Well, that got a smile: “I’m not going to sit here and lie about it and say it’s not cool.”

On the triple-double and full-team effort that powered the Bulls to 6-1:
Josh Giddey matched a rare Michael Jordan statistic — and powered Chicago Bulls to a 24-point comeback win
This is the first time a Chicago Bulls player has recorded back-to-back triple-doubles since Michael Jordan accomplished the feat in 1989.
