I think this level of engagement is really, really good. Great product, fun to watch.

I also don't think it has much value in the long-term with Matas Buzelis closing on the bench.

Wrote about that last week and still feel the same tonight:

The Bulls are doing all the little things necessary to hang in there with a solid team in the clutch.

Offensive rebounds, deflections, charges. Basically straight out of the textbook they've been trying to teach from all season.

“It’s extremely sad to see the way that people are being treated here.”

As a Minnesota native, Bulls guard Tre Jones hasn’t been able to look away from the ICE crackdown in the Twin Cities — especially as children are detained on their way to and from school.

Illinois guard Kylan Boswell fractured his right hand in practice and is expected to be out until at least mid-February.

very proud of the work our Bears beat has put in all season + can’t wait to see what comes out of this one!
Soldier Field is ready. Bears and Rams kick off in about three hours in the divisional round of the playoffs.

As always, I’ll have updates all game long.

In today’s Tribune, I compare Bulls EVP of basketball operations Artūras Karnišovas to the married guy who keeps Carrie Fisher on the hook in ‘When Harry Met Sally.’

Billy Donovan’s decision to bench Matas Buzelis in Wednesday’s win left me with a bigger question — what do the Bulls even want out of this season?

Wednesday was the first time I really struggled to sit with Billy Donovan’s logic after a game.

AK already said winning isn’t the priority for the Bulls this season. So why are they worrying about winning through ethical hoops on the second game of a back-to-back in January?

Confounding.
