Glad they just announced sending funds to the food banks weekly, but $1M will not make up for $30M+ that is normally sent to Oklahomans by the SNAP program. We need statewide magnitude solutions!

Valuable data from the Urban Institute about how many people can afford the essentials. One stand-out stat is average weekly earnings by state. Oklahoma remains well below the national average and, when adjusted for inflation, earnings have only increased by $40/week.

We cannot allow children to starve or be traumatized trying to find their next meal. The federal government must find a solution for the Oklahoma families who rely on SNAP for their groceries. We cannot expect charity to fill this huge public safety gap.
