One of my neighbors just came out to tell his dog to stop barking and he was wearing a Packers jersey. I need to make friends with him.

Just had to organize the bag of bags underneath my sink because it wasn't really a bag of bags anymore. It had become a bunch of bags. Just loose. Unnatural. Now we're back to being a civilized family with a bag of bags.

Shout out to Sling for having the Packers game last night while Disney and Google flight.

Shout out to the person on Reddit who linked an article about configuring the modifier keys in the MacOS settings on a keyboard-by-keyboard basis.

Using the keyboard at my desk was awkward as hell but now it feels more natural.

Update: well, that thing sure works. Down below 1 from the pre-installation measurement of 7. Yay to not developing cancer. Boo to the hit to my bank account.

Decided to get AppleCare+. $80/yr to protect this ridiculous slab of glass and metal feels reasonable and my 2 year old doesn't really care whether it survives or not so better safe than sorry.

Apparently I only had 5 days left to add the plan, so that's nice.
Gang, the Mac life is still treating me well. Dev stuff has been a dream, everyday stuff has been solid, only a couple slightly wonky things that I'm sure are only an issue because this is my first Mac.
dearest reader, it's been yet another 24 hours and I've only managed to burn through 40% of my battery despite installing shit tons of programs, configuring everything, and doing som dev.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

This week’s main story is about police chases – the incredibly dangerous practice made famous by O.J. Simpson, and kept famous by Sheriff John Bunnell and Pluto TV’s 24-hour car chase channel. But, because we are fun, this segment is also about how drivers doing donuts is awesome. Full stop.

Super cool that there's not one streaming service I can watch the Packers on right now.

Neighborhood was pretty slow for Halloween tonight. We were giving away handfuls of candy. The boy also lost interest in trick-or-treating before we made it to a house giving out spiked hot chocolate that other parents told us about.

Submitted a claim yesterday and am surprised they chose to ship me a whole new phone.

Fun fact, though: it got here this morning exactly 23 hours after I submitted the claim.
I think I might submit a claim for my Pixel 7. I was just talking to my wife about how I don't have battery health into but I just went into the settings and it's warning me that I'm under 80% and I should get a replacement. Might as well get the screen done at the same time.
