Turns out EYES WIDE SHUT (1999) is a true story. Not idle speculation or merely Kubrickian paranoia. That movie is about the catastrophic damage that happens when one merely 'brushes up against' the powerful. It's a terrible and ugly truth and we must face it collectively and courageously.
