Great news: Cycling in London is gaining momentum.

Every day, 1.33 million journeys are made by bike in the capital—that’s an increase of 26% since 2019.

I’ll keep working hard with boroughs to make our streets even safer, encouraging more Londoners to travel on two wheels.

If you’re REALLY trying to “solve” traffic congestion, then road widenings and more car lanes are expensive exercises in futility — unless of course your REAL goal is even more people driving more often and longer in the same or worse congestion, fuelled by a lot more suburban sprawl. #induceddemand
It’s official — New York’s transit agency approves congestion pricing.

Finally.

The new $9 toll is too low, but is set to increase to the original & more strategic $15 charge by 2031 (too slow). The funds are badly needed to finance smart transit infrastructure.
