What's Doraemon's count? Pretty sure it beats Conan as well
Just read someone lauding Detective Conan's 30 years on Nippon TV as the longest running anime TV series, and had to mention Sazae-san, airing on Sundays since 1969. It isn't constantly mentioned in English language sources but that doesn't change history.

You can clearly see the faces of the two men arresting a woman who looks young enough to be their daughter for the crime of peaceful protest agains US state decisions. When they, and their bosses, and Congress, go home to their daughters tonight, I hope they feel shame and fear.
