I'm all for uncomfortable means (reasonable amount of flattery) if that's what it takes to achieve the ends (keep the US in), but this is simply excessive and embarrassing. There's a balance to it - if you overdo it, you just signal subjugation and lose respect for the institution you represent.
Someone please check on Mark Rutte to see if he's OK.

It just takes 30 sec to sign and confirm via email - but helps get the @Bundestag to discuss how to save Ukrainian kids from Russian deportation. #BringKidsBackUA #nafo
Russia is deporting Ukrainian children from their home to "Russify" them. This is genocide. We still need about 6000 signatures to reach 50 000 - the quorum needed for the German Bundestag to discuss the petition. The organizers are in contact with the Bundestag to this end. Please sign & share!

Sadly, this still applies.
- it really beggars belief that #Germany’s chancellor still doesn’t see why Ukraine’s victory (& properly arming it to achieve that) is firmly in Germany’s interest
- as well as being the right thing to do.
We lay out why here
