The best scenic overlook of Charlottesville on the Monticello trails is high up its steepest and most difficult trail (Jason Stevens). Most people miss it hiking up hill, but when descending it a gap in the trees will briefly present this view.

@katrinacallsen.com I would love legislation that mandates Data Centers publicly reporting their quarterly water and electricity usage. We need to know if it's in the public interest for these facilities existance based on their grid impact & drinking water impact www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

1/3 of US GDP growth since 2000 is disaster recovery — and data centers drive nearly all our GDP growth this year.

What a baffling, brutal cycle.

Critical part of the President's new $100,000 charge for H1-B visas: The Administration can also offer a $100,000 discount to any person, company, or industry that it wants. Replacing rules with arbitrary discretion.

I spent the last 4 days in Calgary Canada, which is a beautiful modern city that is ridiculously multicultural (and never bothered to think that was a big deal). There is no underlying tension or negative stereotype that people are predisposed with. They don't care, they just live and let live.
