The sneering dismissal of “fictional trans rapists” (males) and caring about incarcerated women demonstrates how - for all his performative reading- Ince excludes traumatising accounts from the survivors of these very *non-fictional* events.
Hey people with platforms , they are starting to take the trans positive books out of the libraries. Now is the time to stand up or just accept that you don’t care - and here is to the millionaire comedians who have helped oil the wheels of hatred

Absolutely right. Even simple things like calling it Cigarettes and Alcohol, not any other combination- because that rhythm and choice of words (not booze, fags, cigs, beer, drinks, smokes, tabs, shots, wine, spirits, tokes, rollies, lines) completely works.

I've watched exactly what she said (it's at around 1 hr 21 in the video) and you're distorting her point. NC is talking about whether the ruling removes all benefits of obtaining a GRC from the specific perspective of access to SS spaces, not commenting on people's motivations for transitioning

Exactly this. @peterwalker99.bsky.social is attempting to justify a poorly researched, prejudiced piece when it’s already been taken apart line by line- and why he didn’t get on the phone first thing about that headline baffles me.
