He is popular. We have no idea if he is competent. He has to be in office for awhile to find that out.
The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

The people who told everyone not to vote would like to start a 3rd party so the Hitler movement can stay in power in 2028. They cost us 3 SCOTUS judges in 2016 & put Trump back in power in 2024. It is time to get back to listening to the adults rather than the children.

When old man’s grandparents divorced way back in the what? 40s? Grandma (from Santa Fe) moved to Barrio Logan. His uncle’s wife is from there and her mom lives there still.

Virginia under Youngkin returned to an insanely harsh system where people convicted of any felony lose their voting rights FOR LIFE.
Dems' win this week mean they'll get to advance a constitutional amendment to end lifetime disenfranchisement.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

The far larger issue has been people being kept from office by single issue voters thinking they have to get their way on everything. We can go through the list. Hillary attacked for a comment from the 1990s that wasn't offensive to begin with. That gave the rt wing 3 SCOTUS judges to destroy ROE.
