When moving away from Windows, I tried BeOS. Great OS, main thing missing was software. It's a sad victim of Microsoft's anti-competitive behavior. And yes, that statement was proven in court, MS had to pay out. Years after Be went bankrupt of course... Price of doing "business".
Exactly that. There are some serious additional risks with cross-border services. If your business relies on them to get everything done, it's perhaps time to do a renewed risk assessment. Promises and past performance mean little these days. #selfhosting #digitalsovereignty #resilience

Don't forget: all complex software has #security issues. Even if it's written by a huge tech giant. #OpenSource has, on average, less security holes. But for the most critical data, keeping it on-premises behind your firewall and perhaps even fully air gapped is the way to go.
