Researchers can fight these attacks by spreading insights into how fed funded research works, and sharing how we serve the public with the fed dollars we work hard to earn.

NIH is ending billions of dollars in foreign subawards, jeopardizing thousands of projects on infectious diseases, cancer and more.

Unless foreign researchers secure funding directly from NIH by October — a tall order for any researcher — clinical trials abroad and other research will shut down.

This is yet another abuse of power by the administration — this time in response to Harvard not capitulating to the administration’s earlier unlawful demands.

We have to speak out and stand up for our universities.

The real problem about science isn't about loss of trust. It's about not having a voice, a counter. @nature.com

Whai if the 300,000 scientists supported by NIH stood up? Or even half of them. Instead of <1%
Science’s big problem is a loss of influence, not a loss of trust
Evidence shows that science and scientists remain highly trusted. But genuine scientific voices are not shouting loud enough over the noise to hold sway.

“I did everything I possibly could for this administration to work with them in an effort to restore confidence in vaccines,” Dr. Marks said in the interview.

👍for the UTI Wikiguidelines, especially for prevention of recurrent UTI.

Agree that topical estrogen and methenamine can be quite helpful. Need more data on methenamine safety in people with renal dysfunction, spectrum of activity, and need for urine acidification.
