We're primarying John Fetterman.

Last week, Fetterman again sold out working Pennsylvanians. He was the deciding vote for a Republican budget bill that will strip healthcare from over 400,000 Pennsylvanians.

We deserve real working class leadership in the Senate, not a Trump-enabling Democrat.

Suck it, RFK Jr!

I may have had to go to Connecticut, and I may have had to affirm having a condition that puts me at “high risk for severe outcomes from COVID-19 virus” which, if anyone asks, is “being alive”. In spite of the attempts of the antivax establishment to stop me, they could not!

I NEED to tell you the story of Tae Heung “William” Kim.

He's a graduate student at Texas A&M where he's working on a vaccine for Lyme disease.

He's a *legal permanent resident* of the United States.

And he's been in ICE detention for 12 days & counting, transferred Tuesday to South Texas.

The EPA has eliminated its research division, which for decades has provided the science behind regulations on clean air, clean water, and toxic chemicals.

The US can afford to monitor, research, and regulate the impacts of industries on human and environmental health. We are just choosing not to.

It is instructive how apoplectic certain center-right commentators are about Mamdani's proposed rent control freeze in New York. "Doesn't he know that this will not lower the price of housing?"

But when I inquire if they know the details of how NYC rent control, invariably they do not. (1/n)

TIL "capitalism" was a term of ridicule coined by socialists. An early use of that English term (1863) was from a German-American educator who started the first kindergarten in Boston after being driven out of a suburb of San Antonio and later Houston in 1856 for advocating for abolitionism.

In the spring of 2008, I feared America was on the verge of war with Iran — and, believing that it’s good style to get to know people before you bomb them, I made “Rick Steves’ Iran,” a one-hour special that could (and would) only debut on PBS. Sadly, this special has become pertinent again today.

That's the point. You can't have serfdom if you have good or safe jobs. And you can't have lords without serfs.
“What makes manufacturing jobs good is unions and regulations that protect worker safety. Without those things, any jobs created by somehow bringing toy manufacturing back are not going to be good or safe jobs.”

-Josh Bivens of the Economic Policy Institute, quoted in this piece:
The dumbest thing about Trump's desire to manufacture dolls in the US is that many of the jobs would be bad ones: Connecting plastic body parts to torsos, attaching nylon hair, etc.

I talked to toy industry people who laid this all out. Striking stuff:
