This is really neat, and I think they solved the problem in a cool way.
For me, I don’t want my chats backed up to an external server. Especially anything that I couldn’t self host.

I will absolutely not hesitate to join a suit if they steal We Need to Talk. It didn’t appear to be in the below suit given that it was released this year, but I’m keeping an eye out.

Submitted a short horror story I’ve worked on for a few months to @3lobedmag.com! It’s cosmic horror with maternal trauma, and includes tentacles and other requisite gross but very fun stuff.

Trying rsync on locally encrypted drives instead of relying on iCloud for encrypted backups. Anyone else done this?
At this point, I’d rather be responsible for my data as it’s hard to trust other orgs anymore. See: See: Apple/UK on encryption, Meta’s random acct deletion, etc.

Driving through this was the perfect cap to an incredibly tumultuous time in my life.
Say what you will about signs, but it was so bright, so beautiful. Seeing it gave me hope for the future and the life I’m building.
