Mixed feelings on this. I want housing everywhere. So, I was a "yeah, blah, sure" on Sara's thing... But also, agreed w/ many that it was a decoy (and similar to our dumb urban hub strategy) that prevents housing in trad residential zones by sequestering it everywhere else....

Seattle mayor Bruce Harrell was putting out at least a press release daily celebrating all the amazing things the mayor's office was doing right up until, let's see, November 3.

Nothing since then, though. Weird!

As the government shutdown hits air travel, flight cancellations will undoubtedly cause headaches for travelers. But so far, the disruption is less than others in recent years, including after serious storms or technical failures. nyti.ms/47LPwwg
How do these cuts compare to past air travel disruptions?
While undoubtedly annoying for travelers, the weekend’s cancellations will likely be far less disruptive than recent major incidents caused by inclement weather or IT-related events.

Good article on 2025 American tennis standout Amanda Anisimova; the (now) #4 in the world. While she didn't win a grand slam this year, she made 2 of the grand slam finals, more than any other player except World #1 Sabalenka. And in a way, she defined the season:
