I'm in full agreement with you. At my core I'm a disgruntled Meretznik. I'm just trying to be pragmatic given how severe things are. There is potential here, I think Gilad Kariv could be a good model. But in the moment I agree, it really sucks. Again, much longer conversation to be had.

That is a question that PPI as the unofficial ambassador for the Israeli left to American Jews should be involved in answering. Diaspora pressure (since they clearly need us), pushing the party to take stronger stance against settlement expansion/violence in order to get American support is one idea

Hence why we need to challenge and empower the democratic camp in Israel. Gilad Kariv is proof that HaDemokratim can be a social democratic anti-occupation party, but additional pressure is needed.
