None of this is happenstance.

These guys battled in the last week of the season to win the AL East. Won the last four games to clinch it.

Got the Yankees and Mariners in the first two rounds, really good teams and battled them.

The Blue Jays are tough and fun and resilient.

Let’s go!

Adam Ottavino had a poignant comment about really great clubhouse cultures like the Jays have.

He mentions it breeds “intellectual curiosity” that allows any player of any stature and age to approach any other player including pitchers and position players to grow and get better.

So that 6th inning for Toronto:

- 2 HR
- 4 singles
- 2 BB
- 1 HBP

encapsulates their entire deal and shows what makes them so dangerous. No strikeouts, obviously! and also two tanks.

Doing both is the absolute nearly-impossible ideal. And they're doing it.

The Jays make contact, but they also outslugged every other postseason team by nearly 100 points. Why do we still pretend they're a team of Luises Arraez?

Last week I got into how they're not just making contact, but *good* contact.

How Toronto swung its way to a historic playoff offense
The Blue Jays make a ton of contact. They put the ball in play. It’s what they do. No team had a lower strikeout rate this season. No team has a lower strikeout rate this postseason. They scored the f...
