To intro some of my work, here are some faves from my pod FEELING SEEN. Each week a guest brings a film character who made them feel seen, and we talk about how art consumed shapes those who make it. I adored Heather Graham talking about HAROLD & MAUDE podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/f...

I’m actually pretty sure that they would be lying just the same at this point because they don’t give a fuck and the truth factors absolutely not at all into their narrative. Officers ARE doing what they were trained for. Minneapolis is going according to plan. The right is silent cause it agrees.
Imagine how much they’d be lying about what happened without all the videos showing it from multiple angles.

What we need right now are more inspirational platitudes from Tony Dokoupil. That will heal us.

And you know Bari Weiss is gonna advise her staff at CBS that they must reach Noem for comment about this murder, lest they omit her crucial objective analysis and deprive the American people of BOTH SIDES
Noem lies shamelessly: "An individual approached order Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic gun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently. This looks like a situation where an individual arrived to inflict maximum damage and kill law enforcement"
January 24, 2026 at 11:44 PM
And as some officer appeared to attempt medical attention he recklessly jostled the victim’s corpse and shouted WHERE’S THE GUN??, unable to find the weapon that apparently necessitated deadly force. Keystone Nazi pieces of shit.
The first Minnesota murder, they refused to let a medical professional help the woman they shot. The second Minnesota murder, they simply shot the medical professional.

Maybe Zachary Levi can tell us why this was all still worth it
Clarissa explains it all to the DHS Instagram account
January 24, 2026 at 11:18 PM
If you shoot an armed man in self defense why do you need to scream WHERE’S THE GUN as you frantically shove his corpse around to find it on the ground? Seems like that gun would be more obviously in or around his hands since there was no choice but to kill him for legally carrying one.
New footage from Bring Me the News also shows the aftermath of the fatal ICE shooing in Minneapolis

Today is a great day to read my review of the best movie I saw last year:
THE SECRET AGENT has received 4 Oscar nominations, including Best Actor for Wagner Moura & Achievement in Casting. Read @mattzollerseitz.bsky.social's review, where he claims “ once in a while, you see a movie that doesn’t feel made, but extracted from a dreaming mind.”
The Secret Agent movie review (2025) | Roger Ebert
This is one of the year’s best films, and one of the most distinctive.

If there is one Oscar nominee I will beg you to see, it’s the feature doc MR. NOBODY AGAINST PUTIN. It’s told from the perspective of a school teacher in a small Ural Mountains town as he, the schools documentarian, captures the tightening authoritarian grip following Russia’s invasion into Ukraine.

Amanda Seyfried gave the performance of the year. But I am holding tight to noms for Lindo, Wunmi, and our vanilla princess Elle Fanning!

OSCAR NOMINEE UGLY STEPSISTER! One of the most brute force gory horror movies of the year that’s also just all around excellent! I hope she wins!!
I enjoyed THE UGLY STEPSISTER, which I think is more interesting and fun than it will sound when I say it's a dark (and gross) retelling of Cinderella from the perspective of her jealous step-sibling.
The Ugly Stepsister | VERN'S REVIEWS on the FILMS of CINEMA
THE UGLY STEPSISTER (Den Stygge Stesøsteren) is a 2025 movie from Norway, available on Shudder. If I'd seen it somewhere else I don't know if I'd think of it

Lots of great nominations today and I’m choosing to be very happy for Kate Hudson instead of primarily just furious about Amanda Seyfried! What a great morning for Kate 👍🏼

And it’s blowing positively kick ass vape smoke rings!!!
THE RIP is Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s first zero-cultural-impact collaboration, vaping in film form.

SUPPORT INDEPENDENT CINEMA! is a really rallying cry for us at Feeling Seen, and OBEX is as indie as things get. Saw it at last years Sundance and finally got to chat with Albert Birney about his inspirations and to my great delight: Marcel the Shell!!
Looking for some creative inspiration? @albertbirney.bsky.social’s stunningly creative, super handmade film OBEX is in theaters now, & he told @jorcru.bsky.social about filmmaking with friends for the joy of it. All through the lens of MARCEL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON!

I’m still recovering from this experience. I respect @williambibbiani.bsky.social but the man is objectively incorrect about Event Horizon. #IStandWithJordan #LiberateTuteMeExInferis

My main reason for finding this stupid is because if you EVER ask most people from most rural towns HOURS outside of major cities what they think of those major cities… they are almost always gonna say they don’t like going to that city and don’t like its politics! IT’S WHY THEY LIVE WHERE THEY DO.
NYTimes has truly outdone itself with this latest in its "ask white guys in diner" genre. Thank goodness we get a perspective on what's happening in Minneapolis from people in **Nisswa** who probably mean Brainerd when they say they "prefer not to go the city anymore" www.nytimes.com/2026/01/15/u...

When I exercise my solemn patriotic duty to protect my fellow officers and the nearby citizenry while following my training and legal protocols, I too say “fucking bitch” at the person I’ve just shot at point blank range as I watch their car careen out of control down a street. Who among us?

lol if people swung a kettlebell like this in my extremely normal person weeknight boxing class our instructor would correct us so the exercise actually worked and we didn’t hurt ourselves what a dipshit loser

Man Tim Blake Nelson is a cool guy. So god damn smart and truly a creature of his craft. Give us a listen!
Extremely grateful to the extraordinary Tim Blake Nelson for sitting down with @jorcru.bsky.social to talk about his career as an actor, director, & writer, from Juilliard (where he was studying when he first saw Jim Jarmusch’s DOWN BY LAW) to THE TESTAMENT OF ANN LEE, & beyond! #filmsky
