There is one pearl of positivity though. I had a CT Scan last week which shows that the remaining cancer in my abdomen has not spread since my operation in April. The #cancer hasn't shrunk but I'm taking its "non spread" as a positive stepping stone that I can use to more forward.

Positivity is a precious resource that has been in relatively short supply recently.

I've been in and out of hospital pretty regularly since August. All of this has taken a huge amount out of me & led to the radio silence that some of you have gently (and sensitively) sought to penetrate.

When I was diagnosed around a year ago I promised that I would try to maintain a positive attitude & approach come what may.

I vowed to be open and honest once I'd made the decision to share my experiences on social media; I didn't want to portray an Instagram version of this awful disease.
