Great article from Mother Jones.

Riley Gaines has built her entire public persona on one thing: a tie for 5th place against Lia Thomas.

But her lucrative empire is fueled by profiting off the pain and fear of transgender people.

It’s not courage. It’s a cash-cow built on division.
How right-wing superstar Riley Gaines built an anti-trans empire
The swimmer tied a trans woman for fifth. The MAGA industrial complex took care of the rest.

This is disgusting. A true sacrifice of any honor or morality.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Benson’s husband is a vice president with Related Companies, the parent company of Related Digital. One of her donors is the head of that company. We asked the campaign if her husband would step down if she becomes governor as the company has a clear state business interest. We didn’t get an answer.

Michigan Advance’s Senior Reporter @bensolis1.bsky.social got the ball rolling on bringing to light this arrangement that wasn’t just unethical, but also broke legislative rules.

Ironically, those two things aren’t always the same.
The move comes after Michigan Advance reported that Victory Field Operations was doing consulting work for the gubernatorial campaign of U.S. Rep. John James while one of its founders worked as press secretary for Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt.

Why are we so focused on Mamdani — not Nazi-inspired ideas proliferating on the right?
Jews are concerned about antisemitism amid Zohran Mamdani's mayoral run. They're concentrating on the wrong side of the political spectrum.

When I read the full transcript of the interview, I realized there had been no pushback, no corrections, no challenging follow-ups. The entire interview had been an open-ended opportunity for Trump to tell rambling lies, only to have them cleaned up into a more polished product.
