Luka trade? not schlenk's decision either.

Hunter trade? happened because of the luka trade.

Crying about draft picks is useless. everyone has busts, everyone has boons and everyone has "fine" selections.

except Spellman at 30. at a time when the hawks were rebuilding and needed to take flyers on talent but opted for a C with bad measurables. Schlenk's worst move (he had no say about DJM)
February 14, 2026 at 2:28 AM
Why the hawks have been mid ranked.

1)DJM trade. nuked any ability to actually improve the roster. they also got smaller/worse on both ends/less defense/ but hey we got a BU PG for trae!

2)Contracts given out by ressler/Schlenk.forced the team into its current holding pattern

If Democrats need a generically handsome white man in a suit, Andy Beshear is right there and has been pretty consistent in his values. You can say a lot about him — nepo baby, untested on the national scene, Dockers dork — but he is pretty adamantly himself, and decent.
The public values authenticity in public figures above almost everything else.

The fact that Newsom was a standard center-left politician and is now shifting to the right will alienate him from both his old constituency and his new one.

Have Democrats really not learned their lesson on this?
A major reason that Gavin Newsom will not be the Democratic nominee is that it's very clear that he read the same stuff we all did last year about swing voters not liking orthodox social liberals and is "pivoting" on certain issues to try and pretend that he didn't have an entire career being one

obv he's slumped, but I really think the Hawks have done Zacch no favors in his offensive development.

they should have simplified his O and had him run around off ball screens for C&S shots. but they don't run sets like that nor do they have anyone who can set good screens

given education polarization and MAGA's reliance on low propensity voters, something like the SAVE Act would almost certainly backfire on republicans (i'm reasonably sure senate republicans understand this too)
i'm against barriers to the fanchise but it would be extremely funny if the republicans enact barriers to voting and nuke their voter base
Been toying with the same thought. Pointless barriers to voting pitched as a solution to an imaginary problem are a bad idea in principle, but Republicans seem very sure it will help them on net, and that’s not really obvious to me.

Marvin a good comp for Zacch
18-year-old me probably never recovered from the Hawks passing on Chris Paul.

It’s an entire goddamn administration of rapists, pedophiles, and grifters. There isn’t a single person in the Republican Party who isn’t the lowest fucking level of human being.

And the opposition party is only just now starting to grow a backbone and call them out as such.

We’re so fucked.

involves requiring I.C.E. agents to obtain judicial warrants to come into people’s homes to arrest them.

NIL has shown that it can work. The best talents don’t just go to one team anymore. The same would happen in the nba and the nfl if you open up the draft.

Force teams to be better and be appealing to young talents.
more and more people are saying its time to abolish the draft
