Spending my anniversary noting whether the songs they’re playing at the Sixers - Raptors game are period appropriate for the 2001 throwback theme. My wife truly hit the jackpot.

@cmolanphy.bsky.social Was that the first time Phish has been played on #HitParadePod? Warming up for a jam band episode I hope?

@augetoffmygold.bsky.social Thanks for the shout out on the Ricky. (Fair answer on the Phil Collins question too).

Btw - this Jazz game is easily the best game of the season.

Putting 2026 NBA Finals MVP Lonnie Walker IV out there to get ahead of the curve.
Yabusele is back to begin the second half, playing the five. Lonnie Walker IV is on the floor to begin the third quarter in place of Andre Drummond, who is playing through an illness tonight. Walker shot 1-5 in the first half, all from three, but had 3 assists and 8 rebounds (!).
Guerschon Yabusele only played the first 7:11 of the first half. Nick Nurse acknowledged pregame that Yabusele has been particularly fatigued of late before also sharing that Kelly Oubre Jr. and Quentin Grimes would also have their minutes monitored moving forward.

A disaster of a start for the Sixers in this second quarter, who have outscored the Jazz 24-10 to take a 51-42 lead with 5 minutes left before the break. Jeff Dowtin (10) and Jared Butler (9) have given them lifts off the bench.

friends, here's a link to the job posting. come work with us.

Strong preference for someone Virginia barred. I'm the first to say that the pay is not incredible because we give away a lot of our time on pro bono and longshot cases, but the work is cool as hell.

www.ziprecruiter.com/jobs/the-erl...
we need an associate to join the firm as soon as possible. various reasons inc. half the fed gov't being fired.

employment, civil rights, a bit of suing Elon Musk, some other stuff.

*Virginia* bar required.

I'll get around to posting something formal but email me a resume if you want to apply.

If you need something else to listen to tonight, might I suggest this new oral history recording with Mr. Baseball himself from the County Stadium grandstand.

Other ways to celebrate: (1) listen to No Jacket Required at a volume that gets the police called; (2) get a divorce.
Happy Phil Collins Day everyone! Hope you're observing in your own special way -- obviously listening to this podcast about his imperial 1985 would be one manner in which to do so.
The podcast I've wanted to do forever: All about 1985 Phil Collins, one of the most underappreciated and most mind-bogglingly jam-packed years any pop star has ever had. Huge thanks to the great @cmolanphy.bsky.social for commemorating Peak Phil in full with me. open.spotify.com/episode/7wTP...

Wishing @augetoffmygold.bsky.social a very Happy Phil Collins Day. (And the Sixers can’t even ruin this one for you with a loss.)

My advice to people here who are in distress over today + the next 4 years:

Turn the TV off and go do something. I don’t mean run for office. Help people who need it in your community. Harness the energy and make a difference. Focus on what you can actually do, not on dread. You’ll be better for it

For like half of this season, the most common take was "every team is kinda bad, except Oregon." They were the only thing everybody agreed on. Now all we can agree on is that Michigan had a great time

Not saying they’re the best performances ever (from an Oscar standpoint, etc.) but nobody has ever given it all when they didn’t have to more than Michael Caine (Muppet Christmas Carol) and Justin Long (Dodgeball).
