Every night, people and animals alike hide in shelters, basements, or hallways from russian attacks. While we humans understand what is going on, it’s impossible to explain to pets as they tremble in fear at the sound of explosions and shaking walls.

🐈 The cat was evacuated from the vicinity of Kostyantynivka. Soldiers carried it on themselves for more than 10 km, leaving their positions.

How is this a shock to anyone who's been paying even the most minimal attention to what Trump has been saying and his admin have been doing all year? I posted this in February, for example. Officials who simply chose not to believe it because it's all too difficult might want to rethink their career

Rescuers pulled a kitten from under the rubble after more than 10 hours trapped in the ruins.
This happened in Khotev - a private house destroyed by shelling, but the little one held on.

When an allegedly US draft peace agreement includes a clause about the US mediating between NATO and Russia, and if the president keeps talking about NATO as if the US isn't part of it, this shouldn't be much of a shock. The US is ceasing to be a NATO ally.

I'm not actually that surprised that some European officials are surprised the Trump admin is prioritising economic relations with Russia. It's clear that some people in Europe's policymaking communities simply can't get their heads round the fact that the post-1945 US-Europe relationship is over.
