Wendt was the guest star on the Columbo episode "Strange Bedfellows," which @rjwhite.bsky.social and I saved for the final episode of our Columbo podcast, Just One More Thing, because it ... it wasn't very good. We were putting it off. You can listen to the episode here:

New round of "Peter Falk As..!" -- Can you identify these episodes from the credit screen? This week's theme is "Boats!" Two shots of boats on the water from two different seasons, difficulty level is moderate, good luck!

...and here's the answers!

Identity Crisis. Walking away from us is Leslie Nielsen as superspy A.J. Henderson!

A Case of Immunity. The back in question belongs to Sal Mineo as Rachman Habib!

And, lastly, Requiem for a Falling Star, with Anne Baxter as murdering movie star Nora Chandler!

Last chance to make your guess, answers tomorrow! Here's a pretty big set of clues to help:

First image: Season 5
Second image: Also Season 5
Third image: Season 2

Good luck!
How dare they turn their backs on us! This round of Peter Falk As... features episode guest stars with their backs turned on the audience. Can you identify the three episodes in question from these screens?

JOMT co-host Jon Morris briefly dives into the history of MUMBLY, Saturday Morning's answer to Columbo -- and why the muttering mutt bore such a close resemblance to *another* equally-hirsute Hanna-Barbera bad boy ...
MUMBLY, Hanna-Barbera's answer to Columbo. The Mumbly Cartoon Show (1976-1977) featured the ruffled dog-detective muttering his way through minor mysteries, complete with a ramshackle roadster to complete the image. The middling show was short-lived, but Mumbly reappeared the following season ...

Time for the second round of "Peter Falk As..."

Using only a screenshot of the Peter Falk As... credit as your guide, can you identity the episode from which it was taken? This one might be a little more difficult than the first:

Congrats to the folks who recognized the opening credit for Murder By The Book, originally broadcast September 15 1971, guest-starring Martin Millner and Jack Cassidy (plus Barbara Colby as the rare second victim), written by Steven Bochco and directed by Stephen Spielberg, yow!

Been relistening to the wonderful Just One More Thing podcast bt @rjwhite.bsky.social and @calamityjon.bsky.social - a fun revisit after I rewatched a chunk of Columbo over the last month or so

Funny hearing them talk about how hard it was to find episodes when now even Mrs Columbo streams for free

"What's Columbo's first name? A: Philip" appeared in Trivial Pursuit when the game debuted. It was not true. The makers of TP took the question from a trivia book by Fred Worth who planted it in his book to catch plagiarists (an old trick used by cartographers & lexicographers).
