Despite watching a ton of videos about horror games of various kinds, I am still very scared of playing them *in person*

The personal interaction with the game and response to actions is what actually builds up tension for me and makes it scary.

Looks like LLMs are *very* vulnerable to attack via poetic allusion: "curated poetic prompts yielded high attack-success rates (ASR), with some providers exceeding 90% ..."

Transistors aren't quite like switches or relays, they are more like mechanical friction-based clutches

I used to be so interested in machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, LLMs, image generation models and so on.

Then I started seeing every robotics video turn into "off-the-shelf robot and off-the-shelf vision model presented as something new and innovative" and got tired of it

You use unwrap because "it's impossible for this to happen", I use unwrap because... Uhh... Because I want to...

Nevermind I can't come up with a valid reason. #rustlang

#rustlang hot take: We should rename .unwrap() to .or_panic(). (And .expect() to .or_panic_with().) "Unwrap" is a terrible name for the panicking function, especially since we also have things like .unwrap_or() and .unwrap_or_default() which never panic.

#Mindustry is awesome.

I have *a lot* of free time right now, so it came in handy for me to not die from boredom.

Ok, some progress on making a Quintic Hermite parametrically smooth (velocity always a normalized vector, or at least as close as it can get)

I defined a metric, which is a definite integral, which I can probably use with just an optimization algorithm and call it a day.

I think I am doing my best cooking when I'm trying to come up with something to combine most of the ingredients in the fridge so they don't stay for too long and also very hungry.

Vibe coders feel like Wheatley from Portal 2. I feel like that's the closest analogy I can get.

And, you know, Wheatley is an engineered moron. But he would absolutely vibe code if he was a human in 2025.
