Weapon size and speed need be nothing more than a modifier to initiative. This is what is used in my games: very simple, very quick. Weapon choice should matter beyond damage output. In Paracosmic Convergence, they are different tools for different jobs. #ttrpg

Shout out to FASA for making Star Trek RPG, Battletech, and Earthdawn. I still own and play Star Trek and Battletech, and Earthdawn remains my favorite original fantasy RPG setting.
Shadowrun is pretty great too, but I never personally owned it.

I played the original on Xbox and it was a lot of fun. There were a couple of levels that were annoying do-over fests and that broke the rhythm. I put the game down for awhile and came back to beat those levels and have a lot of fun. Parody of 1950s B sci fi movies. 3 and a half stars.
