Well, looks like I only painted 38 miniatures this year, which is a bit distressing considering I probably have 150 unpainted #Battletech still.
I'm almost done with the Aces minis, which would have brought me to 47.

I was never happy with how original came out, there was elemental to the left that was good idea in my head, but never worked in reality. So I cut him out and reworked the details. Still not 100% happy, but this looks better now.

Some thoughts on how scoring of Southern Assault works #BattleTech
Tournament Scoring
In my post and video about Southern Assault 2025, I talked a bit about being disappointed with apparent unevenness in the paint scoring. I don't think my own paint score reflected what my miniatures should have gotten on the published rubric, and I know a few other people in similar situations. In some conversations sparked by that, I've seen some players advocate for removing paint scores from the tournament's scores altogether with a painting competition as a separate event.

The new #Battletech Classic playtest missions pack is really cool. I approve how they are standardizing and streamlining the game.
While I'm exclusively playing Alpha Strike currently, I'm looking forward to getting back into Classic as well once the new book is out next year.

Mechwarrior 5: Clans Wolves of Tukayyid dlc is really fun so far (even though my mechs got too damaged to fully repair), but I hit a really annoying, seemingly common, sound bug that made me stop for now.
