I am also endorsing Patricia Smith (@patriciasmithnc23.bsky.social) For NC HD 23 for the very same reason. NC voters chose to NOT have a republican supermajority in 2024. they wanted Stein to have a say in what gets passed and what doesn't.
I am endorsing Rodney Sadler (@rodneysadler.com) for NC HD 106 dem primary. usually I don't care much about primaries. but this is as important as the general election. republicans are not the only reason why Josh Stein's vetoes have been overridden(almost all the time) 1/2

@neatoday.bsky.social I am very confused why you are endorsing Brian Fitzpatrick. HE was the deciding vote to bring the OBBB to the senate. that bill gave lots of Money to ICE. also the version her voted for prohibits state from regulating AI. the pro AI provision would have made education way worse

It is very fascinating that in a 1983 redistricting SCOTUS case, the conservative justices(besides O Connor) sided with the NJ DEM legislator and the liberals ruled against the Dem LEG. I guess it showed that the justices were not that partisan back then.

Yesterday I meant one of the liberal republicans he is Jim Greenwood.. He was one of only 4 republicans who voted against the partial abortion ban in 2003.

@djsoke.bsky.social I am interested in the NC state house primaries to see how many conservative democrats will be defeated in the primaries. Those primaries are as important as general elections. The primaries could determine if there will be enough votes to upheld Stein's vetos in the future
As usual, apologies for the election night spam

I’m ready for primary season to get underway though (I’ll be voting in a little over two weeks 😵‍💫)

TX Primary —> SCOWIS —> VAReferendums is the sequence of elections I’m most interested in the next few months

@trumpstaxes.com if you are going to Mike Lawler's Town hall tomorrow make sure this question is asked. I bet he will leave the town hall if and when he is asked about this provision.
Since Mike Lawler is someone who likes to sell the OBBM. I wonder what his response will be when asked about the provision that prohibits states from regulating AI.

My point is that republicans should be careful of there message because if this is there message(where was the backlash when Obama and Clinton did those things) they are basically asking for the Nov 2026 elections to be as blue as 2010, 2014, and 1994 were red. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!
I am very confused when people say "were was the backlash when Obama and Clinton did these things?" there was just look at the 2009, 2010 and 2014 elections in Obama's case. and in Clinton's look at the 1994 elections. there is were you will find backlash against them. also they did not have Scotus.

I am endorsing @jamestalarico.bsky.social for Texas senate. I don’t want to be to negative on Crocket. But I think her announcement video was very weird on Bizarre. That video will win over no one who are going to be swing voters in the general election.

a somewhat random time to say this. but i don't think the 2017 elections produced a blue wave at all. Dems like a PA supreme court race that year by >4%. and the best news the got were the gains they made in the Virginia house of delegates and they still won less districts than Clinton did in 2016.

I think it is partly because of Pop 50 that made his district way bluer. I will not be surprised if he continues to take votes like this. Because they will be more in line with the new district”s views.
It is notable(in a good way) that Adam Gray is not on the list.

even though this is no were near what the final margin will be. I think almost everyone agrees that the democrats have a better chance at winning this race than they do at holding the MI Senate race. in 2024 democrats did better in NC than MI overall.

the Virginia US senate delegation is very interesting. Mark Warner voted for the Laken Riley Act and Kaine voted against it. But Warner voted against confirming Noem and Kaine voted to confirm Noem. I think the liberal resistance will probably choose Warner. because of this.
How the Laken Riley Act is working against ICE to free some noncitizens
Judges around the country are citing the GOP-backed immigration law, designed to detain more noncitizens, to free them instead.

RRH elections just released their first 2026 house ratings yesterday. they don't look to wired until you take a closer look. I am very confused why they have IA 2 and ME 2 as Tossups but simultaneously have WI 3 Lean R.
