The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Am I the only one that gets aggravated when people use the word cooked to describe difficult situations even when they aren’t difficult? The English language has many other adjectives that we could use that are better descriptions of tough situations
