Can any coffee nerds out there explain to me why I prefer Tescos house blend beans (probably old too) vs posh freshly roasted ones? ‘Nice’ beans always taste kinda lemonny to me - don’t think I’m making it too wrong - it’s the same when I get an espresso from somewhere good :-/

Wife got me the coffee grinder I exhaustively researched and gave it to me early so I could get cracking - absolutely love it so far & feel like I've already worked out how to get the beans I like ground to the right size for the style of (weird) coffee I like!

Does anybody know what actually happened at Gatwick last week? All I can see is 820am 'discovery of a suspected prohibited item'. 1050am terminal evacuated. Resolved at 250pm (what happened inbetween?). 2 people arrested but then allowed to carry on journey. Very strange.
