#3/22 Italy
Population: 60.3M (Italy), 1.9k (Texas)

Location: An hour south of Dallas

What it has: A gas station worthy of a shower and staying overnight, a high school, corn fields, and a really nice cemetery dating back to the 1800s

The vibe: A quick stop on the way to another town
In pursuit of budget-friendly long weekends and roadtrip vibes I’m visiting 22 towns in Texas sharing names with countries or international cities - from Paris to Palestine.

They will be toured with every ounce of enthusiasm and preparation of international travel. We’ll see how this goes!

If you had told 14yo me that dozens of adults got up early on a Saturday morning to do laps around my school’s parking lot on bicycles in semi-organized teams to find out who’s fastest… maybe I would have better ideas for spectator signs now

We'd like to remind all citizens that stellar trespassing is strictly forbidden, especially at night. Any individuals found loitering on starscapes or looting nebula debris will be charged with celestial vagrancy.
