If you did something nice for someone every day, how much more awesome would your corner of the world be?
Not a specific show only on that, no, but I’m sure it will come up on this week’s episode.
@joeypowell.bsky.social Is Inside Carolina gonna do a podcast on UNC's lack of a proven wing and if they missed out on Stojakovic because of a lack of money, or an unwillingness to pay?

Smart man.
With this horrible week, I’m really glad that I went with Wu-Tang Financial years ago…

So if he IS trying to crater the economy to gain fealty from major corporations and make in self leader forever, what are we supposed to do about it? Who is driving the Democratic Party right now to illuminate everything? We’re only two and a half months into this shit.

Weird.
I'm no good with patterns. Can someone help me out here?

How firm is the hold of antivax beliefs?

From the parents of the 6 year old unvaccinated child who died of measles:

“Don’t do the shots,” the girl’s mother said. Measles, she added, is “not as bad as they’re making it out to be.” She noted that her four other children all recovered…

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific.

If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

Market takes a nosedive, again. It’s almost like having a petulant child using his reactions as an economic policy is a bad idea.

Throwback Thursday…

Remember that time Biden cornered the entire Republican Party into denying they’d cut Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid for a $1T tax break for billionaires?

That was only a year ago. Now, the biggest earned benefits cut in history is in their budget.

This is a bigger issue than people realize. Not just jobs lost. But their families losing benefits. Landlords losing tenants. Cities and towns losing revenue. This is how recessions start

Ready Fire Aim is no way to govern.
More accurate, fewer words;

"There are plenty of contractors going under".

A friend furloughed 75% of staff (furlough w/paying for health insurance for three months), 50% exec pay cut, 25% rest of staff to keep as many people w/salary.

PS: Wasn't 18F a government office, not a contractor.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:
18f.org
We're not done yet | 18F

If you worked for 18F and got fired, Group together to start a consulting company.

It’s just a matter of time before DOGE needs you to fix the mess they inevitably create.

They will have to hire your company as a contractor to fix it. But on your terms.

I’m happy to invest and/or help

📌NOTE: Immediately after the vile attack on Zelensky by Putin's puppets Friday, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries should have called a joint press conference and explained to the American public the significance, heinousness and danger of that sickening surrender.

📌They should STILL be talking now.

I worry that the focus on NOAA's weather predicting value is ignoring the millions of other ways NOAA researchers enrich communities and local economies.

There are no oysters without NOAA. There are no blue crabs without NOAA. NOAA trains teachers. NOAA is the lifeblood of coastal communities.
